In late July, my in-laws, Lee and Cara, took James and Katie with their family to Fayetteville, WV for a week of fun at Adventures on the Gorge. Tuesday night that week Rachel came down after a workshop in Findlay, OH. Then on Wednesday, I managed to get a few days off from work to join the family.
The kids and my in-laws got to do some white water rafting on Monday, along with some tree-top courses. On Wednesday I got to tag along for a walk across the cat walk under the New River bridge! We also got a day of boating, cliff diving, and rock climbing at Summersville Lake. We also did some hiking to see water falls, creeks, and old mining towns. Rachel, James, and I took a tour in the exhibition mine of Beckley, WV.
