Christmas in Dearborn, MI
This year for Christmas weekend, we opted to head out of town, in lieu of exchanging gifts. Our plan was originally to go somewhere to take the kids skiing or tubing (in the snow) but since the weather has not given us much in the way of snow, our plans fizzled.
One idea we had was to visit the Henry Ford museum and Village. They were open this weekend, and had some festivities going on so we made our way north. The Village was very neat with historic building from all over the United States re-located there. While it was very chilly, there were a LOT of people visiting. The museum was as neat as I remembered from elementary school, but the automotive display was being refurbished. Didn’t really matter, we still spent about 4 hours there. We wanted to do the IMAX show, but not in budget. In all, Rachel, the kids, and I all had a pretty good time – minus the long drives.
