I’m no slob, but BP coffee cup lids are making me look like one! I don’t know if it is how I drink from them, or how I hold them, but BP coffee cups seem to always ‘spit’ coffee back out the lids when I drink from them. Take a sip, dodge a coffee projectile, take a sip… I can’t be alone in this problem, can I? If you have experienced the same problem, please, send a note in the comments below. I’ll e-mail BP and ask them what is up with their cups – if I get some help, and try to see if they are doing anything about this.

I have had several instances on the way to work, where my coat ended up with coffee dripping on it. This past Saturday, while at the tire store, I looked down and had a drip (or three) on my coat again. Got up to dry it off, and realized that my white t-shirt was almost soaked from trying to drink with the lid on! There is a drink hole on the lid, so they must expect them to be used!

There is no way I can see to drink more carefully than I do, with a lid on, to prevent this. Whatever it is, it seems to be more design and less user error. This is very frustrating and is ruining my clothing (and pride). * I just saw another post addressing this issue with the lids shown above, the same that BP uses. Grrr.
