Because We’re All In This Together

For all the time that I was around my “Granny’s” house growing up, the photo above hung over the TV in the living room. The photo was on a plastic frame from a brewery of some sort. The frame sides said “Because we are all in this together”.

I don’t know what that frame was for, but the photo of my dad, my uncles, and my granny seemed to be a statement of keeping close, in spite of the difficulties that they overcame after my grandfather’s death. I am proud of all dad’s family for making it through that time, and those years as well as they did.

I managed to get the photo after granny passed away, and have tried to do some photo retouching on it a few times. Tonight I did some more from scratch. It is not perfect, but it does depict my dad’s family in a way that really shows them in a way few of us go to see them. It also hints at many of my siblings and cousins in looks, mannerisms and character.

The original is in very bad shape. Perhaps some of you might have photos in similar dress or outfit that I can clone a really good version of this for you all to keep. Nothing is more important on earth than family!
