Five More Peanuts?

Back when we lived in Vandalia, Ohio, we used to go by a house on Ginghamsburg Road off of North Dixie Drive in the winter. At that time, there was a house with a dammed-up creek in their front yard that would freeze, and they would put Peanut characters out on the ice as if they were skating. They also used to have one of the largest light displays in Ohio.

I never forgot that house, or the kids they made. So a few years ago, we made Snoopy, Woodstock, Charlie Brown, Linus, Sally, Lucy and Marcy out of plywood for our front yard in Waynesville. I love those ‘kids’ and so does my family. I’ve been wanting to add more for the past few years, but have not done so.

This year, I hope to add: Peppermint Patty, the snow man, Pig Pen, Benjamin, and Schroeder to the pack. The picture above is my inspiration for this year. So keep on me and hopefully you’ll see our group of 5 become a group of 10 this year! If so, please feel free to stop by and say hi to the kids… and us.

I’d love to know the name of the family who inspired me years ago. If you find it, please forward to me!
