Starnes Classic Golf Outing – September 19, 2009
Hello golf fans, the results of the 2009 Starnes Classic Golf Outing took place on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Majestic Springs near SR 73 and SR 380.
This year, the Starnes foursome was complete! Levi was not only able to attend, but took 2nd place! He became quite close to his 7-iron, and it did him well the entire game. Roger finally got another chance to use his new Walter Hagen clubs. Travis ate up the fairways when the rest of us were tending to the rough. Casey took the cup.

All 4 brothers had a great day together, the weather was excellent, and the women folk were very kind to allow us a long (slow) game. Our tee-time was at 3:00 and we finished close to 7:30! An outing was finishing up ahead of us, and it seems that we must have been close to the backlog.

After 9, the score (as I remember it) was 48, 52, 50, and 50. A 4-point spread between the top and bottom after 9! I’ll have to check the results for the total, but we might want to leave that off the story anyhow! A great game, and such a good time as brothers together for a change… just us. I got calls on Sunday and Monday from Casey, Travis, and Levi noting how fun it was to hang out for a change. Need more of it!

Majestic Springs is a great place to golf. I think we paid $25 for 18 and a cart. The course was in good condition, and we all like it. If you want to try it out, here is a non-commissioned pitch:
