Catching Up!

December is always a month of crazy, hectic events! I can barely keep up with all we have going on.

Advertising work in December is typically when clients finally remove those old Post-it notes that remind them to do something before the end of the year, and they try to do something about them. On top of that, most will be trying to take some time off from work. Add that to us creatives trying to take time off ourselves, and contend with the holidays, shopping, expenses, and vehicles that like to get repairs, it can be overwhelming!

Since I’ve not had time to blog, here is a brief of what we’ve been up to the past few weeks:

  • Thanksgiving at our house (new trim installed on several windows, lots of cleaning and food)
  • Split 3 truckloads of wood at friends of in-laws house
  • Hunting in Gallipolis, OH (temps in low 40s with rain all day Monday, from ice to 60ยบ on Tuesday, no deer)
  • Practice Thursday and a double-header basketball game on Saturday for James
  • Scout den meeting on Saturday afternoon (scouts built bird houses)
  • Sunday went our to eat with folks from church at Fazoli’s and tried to finish splitting wood (splitter would not run)
  • Sunday evening, put up lights on house, and put out Peanut kids in yard.
    • Katie went hunting with her grandpa, shot a doe, but could not find it
  • Monday morning snow shower provided a 70 minute trip in to work due to driving US 68 to Yellow Springs (man I miss US 42 and 4 lanes of road!!)
  • Monday evening, almost made it to Xenia after work, and a crash at 68 and SR 235 added another 20 minutes to my trip home (more ice).
  • Monday worked on Mom’s SweetContentment.com website (now taking orders for holiday baked goods!!)
  • Tuesday night scout bake-off auction at Clinton-Massie at 6:30 (left work at 5:30 and was 15 minutes late)
  • Just finished some more mods to Mom’s site

Got anything fun to report Starnes fam? Or just chaos like us?
