Giant John Deere – Bailer?

Giant John Deere – Bailer?

  • June 22, 2009
  • by Roger Starnes

This giant John Deere piece of equipment is sitting near our house, currently at US 68 and I-71. It is just down the road from a John Deere dealer and a company that sells and leases John Deere combines.

From the photo above, it seems that this might be one of the giant bailer combines that some farms are using now, although those are typically square, this appears to do round bails. The rear area appears to be a belt-driven roller or collector, but these are not typically attached to a chassis, but are usually pulled by a tractor.

Anyone have a model or function? Send in your comments please!
