Green Mountain Energy Wind Farm

Green Mountain Energy Wind Farm

  • October 27, 2008

This past weekend, Rachel had a class in Bowling Green, Ohio. The kids and I ended up going with her and were checking out the area while she had class Saturday. One of the first things we saw, the night before, were wind turbines in the area!

Some folks like to complain that they are not pretty, or are noisy…we all think they are COOL! They provide non-fossil fuel power, for ‘free’, they look neat, and are HUGE! No matter where we were in BG, we could pretty much spot them on the horizon. The weather was a bit cool, and the wind was around 20 MPH most of the weekend, and still the sound from the wind turbines was not great, even close to them.
