Katie’s Concession Game

Katie’s Concession Game

  • September 18, 2010
  • by Roger Starnes

Katie was to work the concession stand at the Clinton-Massie football game tonight for a while, then Rachel was taking her and the kids to KY for yet another family reunion. I had doubts that they would wait for the game, but figured they’d just get out of Dodge early. Not so.

I came home after working through lunch due to all the ‘fires’ at work, unable to rest from my hernia surgery last week. I was SO looking forward to resting and lounging around tonight. Then Rachel said, “can you do a really big favor for me?” I knew I was in for it. I ended up taking Katie to the game, in a bit of discomfort, so she could work the concession stand during 4th quarter.

Katie did a good job, I could see, and the Falcons won over Hillsboro 63-7 (ouch). That score just seems a bit unfair. I guess they hurt more than me tonight.

Long story to explain the photo I took from my cell phone at the game. Unfortunately I sent the image with no title and no text, until now. Sorry for the whining, it was supposed to be about Katie’s big work day!
