Lost and Found! (finally)
Our family got together at my parents house on New Year’s weekend for dinner and exchanging gifts. We all made it in, and took our cameras to capture moments of family time. Packing up is always tricky with a family of 7 with spouses, kids and all the belongings of each person.
Levi was packing up to leave with his family, and after arriving home, he realized his Nikon digital camera was MIA. He called around and it seemed no one had mixed it into their belongings. We checked everywhere for the camera, but for months it was still missing in action. Levi mentioned when he first realized it was gone that he thought he remembered sitting it on top of his SUV as they were packing up the kids.
Well, sadly that seems to have been true. After looking the first day it was missing, and days and months since, dad spotted a black bag off the side of SR 380 near their house that could have been the camera. Dad went back to the same place he had looked the day it went missing, spotted a small black bag, looked inside, and there was the smashed (run-over) Nikon camera!
Levi is hopeful that the digital memory card is still good. As for the camera, well, it is a total loss. But note that the Samsonite case is perfect, other than some mud on it! When I was a kid, Samsonite was the luggage that a gorilla could beat on!
