New LG Front-Loading 4.0 cu. ft. Washer
Well, following the demise of our old friend Mr. Kenmore (from the house in Corwin, left by the previous owners), our new washer has been installed and works great (thanks to Rachel)! I am impressed with how quite it is, how little water it uses and how much you can put into it! No leaks so far, and 3 loads down!
Rachel was intent on us getting a front-loading, 4.0 cu. ft. washer. As mentioned previously, that was no cheap find. However, I will say that the current market conditions make deals more frequent!
I looked online at Sears, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Best Buy and others for the best washer deal. We were hoping to find a scratch and dent unit, or a return, but no luck. Then yesterday, I went to Lebanon. There is a Lowe’s just off of I-71, and a Home Depot (my destination) off of SR 48 in Lebanon.
I ended up buying the LG washer above at Home Depot where I got the 10% price, plus the extended Energy Saver discount, plus another $100 off, plus another discount to off-set the taxes. I was desperately needing our driveway sealed too, so I got enough to do that too, also discounted. In total I saved about $250 over the price they had for all (counting 20 5-gallon buckets of driveway sealer – yeah, big driveway = big $$).
