Muddy and Clean
I posted these images on my Facebook page last week after my son and I met for lunch at Frisch’s last Sunday. In Wilmington, Ohio there is a cool facility with giant concrete silos for grain storage called Sunrise Cooperative. The gravel lot on one side of the facility is one of my favorite places for car photos. Actually the front and side are great!
Tonight I downloaded the images to my computer and saw they are much nicer than Facebook shows them. So I adjusted the color levels a bit and am re-posting them below.
My son’s GMC Sierra used to be my father-in-law’s truck. But he had to stop driving and the truck sat collecting pine leaves and needing a lot of work. Infused with some cash from his parents, James got the truck back on the road (several times) and tends to spend his free time in muddy fields (as you can see). His dad’s Mazdaspeed3 is the vehicle that stays clean most of the time, gets close to 28 MPG and has about 320 WHP thanks to a great engine with some add-ons and a bigger turbo. James’ GMC has plenty of power, sounds great, and like his dad’s ride, has a great sound system. But the GMC can’t claim good gas mileage. Just good at pulling friends out of fields!
It is funny how different our tastes are with regard to cleanliness – vehicles and in clothing… :^)
Enjoy the photos. Click on each to see the full-size image to view or download. The images are large so may be slow…
