Trip to D.C. and Philadelphia Area
Last weekend we left to see my buddy Dave and his family near Philadelphia, PA. We ended up driving straight from Wilington, OH to the Pennsylvania and Maryland border (near where Travis stays when hauling for Bob Evans). After a few hours of sleep and showers, we were back on the road to Washington D.C. to visit the Smithsonian and some other D.C. attrations (first time for me and the kids). D.C. was cool, but as crowded as you always hear.
We left D.C. around 4:00 for Dave’s near Philadelphia. Traffic out of D.C. was terrible and we were all grouchy for nearly a full day of being on the road. Dave and Janelle’s new place is great, and Dave was out working on his lathe doing brush handles for the brushes and straight razors he makes and refinishes.
Sunday we went to church with them, got lunch and hung around their house while it rained. Monday Dave made breakfast and we left for another full day of driving. Weather was nice so we got to see a lot of Pennsylvania.
